Saturday: Meeting Place is Dijon Train Station by the Quick Restaurant outside the station at 4:00 p.m.

Passengers who have taken our Optional Paris Transfer meet in the lobby of the Hotel Regina in Paris at 1.00 p.m. and transfer to the Gare de Lyon for the TGV high speed train to Dijon in 1st class seating. The Litote air conditioned motor coach is waiting to transfer you to the Litote, moored in the Village of Vandenesse en Auxois . Sip champagne as we welcome you on board and introduce you to the crew. (Meanwhile, your luggage is quietly taken to your cabin.) Enjoy your first gourmet dinner on board this evening.

Sunday: Morning we have an excursion to the elegant 15c Chateau de Commarin . Still privately owned, the chateau is notable for its beautiful furnishings and a unique collection of Renaissance heraldic tapestries. Afterwards we pay a visit to the medieval village of Chateauneuf en Auxois before returning to Litote for lunch. This afternoon we cruise along the Burgundy canal to the village of Pont d'Ouche for overnight mooring. There is pleasant walking and cycling along the towpath.

Monday: After breakfast, we drive over the hills of the Ouche valley to the famous wine producing town of Mersault . A visit to a private cellar has been arranged, with wine tasting and a chance to sample some of the most prestigious wines of this area. We return to Litote in time for a delicious lunch and then begin cruising through one of the most attractive stretches of the Burgundy canal to La Bussiere. We moor a short distance from the abbey which is well worth a visit.

Tuesday: This morning is market day in Dijon , capital of Burgundy and after a guided visit of the historical center, there is time to stroll through the picturesque covered market, the largest in Burgundy. We return to Litote and cruise to the village of Gissey sur Ouche.

Wednesday: A morning cruise, passing through some delightful villages with lots of opportunities to walk or cycle along the towpaths brings us to Pont de Pany . After lunch, an excursion to Beaune , the wine capital of Burgundy and also home to the fabulous 15c Hospice and its splendid glazed tile roof, the finest example of Burgundian/Flemish architecture in existence. We return to Litote moored in Fleurey sur Ouche .

Thursday: This morning we cruise towards Dijon, passing alongside Lake Kir as we approach the port of Dijon. In the afternoon, a visit to Clos de Vougeot is in order. Wine was produced here as early as the 12th century—by none other than the local monks. A private wine tasting follows before we return to Litote for our farewell gala dinner.

Friday: After breakfast, transfer to the Dijon railroad station. Those taking our transfers board the first-class TGV train back to Paris.

Note: The route is run in reverse on alternate weeks
