The 13 passenger L'Impressionniste began life as a cargo barge in Holland before undergoing a complete transformation into the powerful canal and river cruiser she is today.

L'Impressionniste 's cruise route covers some fine rural cruising, with plenty of opportunity to cycle and stroll along the tow-path and wander into nearby villages.

L'Impressionniste 's light and airy interior features picture windows and selections of prints, fabrics and wall colorings reminiscent of the turn of the century era after which she has been named.

Cabins:

The spacious cabins -- 2 Suites, 4 Junior Suites and 1 Single Cabin -- offer a choice of twin or double beds, all with en-suite facilities:

•  Monet Stern Suite is 170 sq feet with twin or double beds

•  Renoir Bow Suite is 150 sq feet with double bed

•  Degas and Sisley Junior Suites are 135 sq. ft. with twin beds or double

•  Cezanne and Pissaro Junior Suites are 125 sq. ft. with twin beds

•  Chart Room has been changed to single cabin “Bazille” with bathroom

Salon & Dining Room:

With its built in sofas, large dining table and bar, the salon aboard L'Impressionniste is one of a kind in style and beauty.

On Deck:

Two sundecks with steamer chairs, reclining chairs, large table for dining, and jacuzzi will bring you in touch with mother nature, and total relaxation.

Off Boat:

2 air-conditioned minibuses with driver/guide are provided for you as well as mountain bikes for touring local cities.

   

L'Impressionniste cruises five distinctly different waterways along the River Rhone, the Petit Rhone, the Rhone-Sete canal, Thau lagoon and part of the Midi canal, passing picturesque fishing villages, colorful markets and offering excursions to some of the most famous cities in Provence, including Avignon and Arles, and cruises through the Camargue National Park, famous for its with its wild horses, black bulls and pink flamingos.

Experience the color and light that inspired Impressionist painters such as Van Gogh and Cezanne, enjoy wine tasting and entrancing excursions to medieval and Roman sites…all this and more aboard the 13-passenger L'Impressionniste. .

L'Impressionniste is owned and operated by the U.K based "European Waterways" cruise company, known to provide crew that have always taken pride in their work, attention to detail, creativity and service, key words which are the cornerstones of the company's group of vessels. Crew members are selected from within the hotel barge industry and from outside. The majority are either English or French.

L'Impressionniste is crewed by a knowledgeable Captain, Mater Chef and crew of three.
