SUITES:

Enchanté's aim as a cruising vessel is to have the biggest cabins on the Canal du Midi.  Thanks to her two-level design, she achieves just that by housing four (4) large en suite cabins decorated in a white and linen theme with percale sheets on the beds, mahogany furniture, and very deep and comfortable carpeting.

Each suite has portholes for viewing the passing landscapes.  The number of portholes available varies from suite to suite.

  • Suite 1 - 3 portholes in cabin; 0 in bathroom

  • Suite 3 - 2 portholes in cabin; 1 in bathroom

  • Double - 5 ft. 9 in. X 6 ft. 5 in.

SALON/DINING ROOM:

The toned down walls of the Salon/Dining set off the hardwood framed windows, which line the upper level and complement the oak floor.  The fabrics of the corner sofa and armchairs are all Alcantara as are the curtains and the dining chair covers.  The glass dining table was designed and made especially Enchanté in order to complete the modern look of the granite benches in the open galley.

The Salon/Dining Room provides ample space at 390 sq. ft. and features:

  • Demonstration galley
  • Sofa
  • Armchairs
  • Fully-stocked bar, drinks cabinet and refrigerator
  • Dining table with seating for up to eight (8) people

When the double front doors are open, the Salon becomes part of the outside deck, which is complete with al fresco dining and an eight (8) person jacuzzi.  The walls of the Salon are lined with picture windows ushering in beautiful views at all times, perfect for appreciating passing views despite the weather.

ON DECK:

The Sun Deck is a spacious 252 sq. ft. open-air gathering area with plenty of shade and a hot tub with temperature control.  The beautiful deck furniture consists of:

  • 2 steamer chairs
  • Al fresco dining table with eight (8) chairs

The Sun Deck is perfect for sun bathing and enjoying the beautiful scenery as you slowly wind through the canals of France.

OFF BOAT:

Passengers are welcome to walk or cycle using the onboard bicycles as often as they like.  Most People choose to disembark the barge at a lock to visit local villages, then return to the canal and meet the barge further along (the barge travels slowly; therefore, this is not a problem).

An air-conditioned, 9-seater (including driver) minibus is also available for excursions by vehicle.

Anjodi Hosts

Louisa and Roger Gronow met in 1998 while working on a boat in Burgundy and have since been able to share their passion for barging and entertaining.  They have between them over 20 years' experience of working on barges in the capacities of Hostess, Tour Guide, and Captain, covering most of France's extensive canal network.

Having worked on several different boats throughout the years, they are now extending their love of boats and France's waterways by designing their ideal barge.  Combining their experience of what they believe makes the perfect holiday, they have picked out their favorite features and added some innovative ones, making Enchanté a forerunner in the new generation of barging.  Due to their love of the Midi and Provence, it's no surprise that the Enchanté cruises this region.

Cuisine on board Anjodi is French. All meals are composed of fresh ingredients and typically feature a different selection of regional cheeses and wines daily. Non-alcoholic beverages, regular or decaffeinated tea & coffee, and whole or low-fat milk are offered with all meals.

There are no assigned seats for meals in the dining room and dress is casual. The Captain's Dinner on the last night of the cruise requires slightly formal attire.
