Estello

Estello -- formerly Marguerite -- is a 20-passenger barge cruising scenic Provence.  She has a spacious interior with climate control throughout and plenty of spacious windows to allow for warming natural light.  The Lower Deck hosts all ten (10) of her cabins, each with fully private en suite bathroom facilities.

L'Estello was built in 1937, and is a classic Dutch passenger barge that has been converted to today's wonderful standards of comfort. Her inviting atmosphere will make you feel immediately comfortable, like if you were relaxing from home.

Owner Cobie Lagerburg takes great pride in preserving and respecting the graceful, traditional lines of her barges.

L'Estello can accommodate a maximum of twenty guests in ten well-appointed cabins along the beautiful waterways of France.

For your enjoyment, we have bicycles, fishing rods, an Ipod docking station and a home entertainment system. E-mail facilities are available. Guided tours are given in air-conditioned mini vans.

The large lounge area has large picture windows, plenty of natural light and is decorated in a 'boaty' style. French doors give access (no steps) to the inviting sun deck. The dining area, also with large picture windows, has comfortable seating.L'Estello has ten bedrooms. Nine bedrooms have twin beds, one bedroom has a double bed, each with their own full bathroom. The average cabin size is 72 sq fr. All cabins have air-condioning. There is ample storage. The barge provides hairdryers.

Our goal is to give you a real taste of France, serving wines from many different regions (but admittedly the Burgundy wines are our favorites!). It will be a pleasure to share our knowledge with you. We will teach you about the wine growing areas, winemaking, and how to read a French wine label.

Throughout your trip we will introduce you to our carefully selected local wines and premier cru wines. (If you don't know what that is, don't worry - we'll teach you!)
