Imagine

Originally a sailing ship, the luxury Dutch barge Imagine is now fitted to take up to 4 guests along the beautiful canals of Burgundy.  Imagine's exquisite "Barge & Breakfast" format allows travelers to enjoy French life with the barge's owners, a congenial crew of 2, on explorations of new locales, places to shop and eat, and museums.

Imagine hotel barge

Built in 1906, Imagine was originally a sailing ship. The skippers, Lynne and Malcolm are pleased to continue with their successful charter operations. They live aboard their luxury Dutch barge, outfitted to take up to four guests cruising on the rivers and canals of Burgundy. You will explore new locations, find great places to shop and eat, tour museums and generally enjoy life.

Each stateroom is air conditioned, has twin beds (which may be made up as a queen bed if requested), opening skylight and plenty of hanging and shelf space for clothes. The adjacent private bathrooms have a sink, toilet and a spacious shower.

One of the owners' favorite locations on "Imagine" is the spacious outdoor deck with it's large sun-shade, dining table, lounge chairs and refrigerator which is kept stocked with complimentary water, soft drinks, beer and local wines.

After breakfast you can just cruise along or try your hand at piloting the barge. You might also want to join in as they work their way through the canal locks. The pace is slow enough to walk or bicycle the canal paths as they find the perfect places to stop for lunches and dinners. For dinner you all can decide if you'd like to prepare a gourmet meal on board or set off to enjoy the fare of a local restaurant.

After cruising with Imagine, you'll go home with the memories of a lifetime.
