Designed in conjunction with La Fluviale, a prominent boat company in St. Jean de Losne ( Burgundy ), the Amaryllis has been decorated by some of the most respected names in France and Italy and has been converted into a 8-passenger luxurious barge whose interior displays an uncompromising attention to detail.  

Amaryllis is welcoming onboard her guests from all over the world with great service, delicious cuisine and attention to each clients need.

The Amaryllis is available for hire on a charter basis but may also be booked to cruise ‘in tandem' with her sister barges (Fleur de Lys & Hirondelle) providing ultra-luxurious cruising possibilities for larger private charter groups of up to 20 or more guests.

Salon : Antique Louis XVI and Italian furnishings with separate dining room and picture windows. BOSE ipod docking stations.

Deck : Sundeck with canopy for shade, tables and chairs and 13 x 13 ft swimming pool.

 

No expense has been spared in the preparation of the Amaryllis ; she boasts marble bathrooms with double basins, Italian antique furniture and a huge heated salt water swimming pool to cool off in after a days exploring.

Cabins:

Amarillys is offering her guests 4 luxurious, elegantly appointed suites.

Suite # 1 is on the upper deck measuring 180 sq ft and it is perfect for those not able to negotiate stairs with ease . Suites 2 through 4 located on the lower deck, measuring 227-278 sq ft.

Each suite has huge double beds that can be arranged as double or twin, beautiful marble bathrooms 47-58 sq ft with double sinks and shower or bathtub, heated towel racks and make up mirror as well as individualy control A/C systems, intercom, 110-220 volt shaver sockets.

Each suite has been meticulously decorated in a traditional style with a mixture of contemporary and antique Louis XVI and XV furniture, complimented by occasional tables from Li Puma of Florence .

Salon & Dining Room:

The large, sunny indoor salon is chic and elegant. While relaxing in the salon guests are welcome to watch TV, DVD, video and use books, DVD and games library (Cards, Chess, Backgammon, Board Games-Trivial Pursuite, Monopoly, Scrabble, etc).

The salon doors can be opened the entire width of the boat, creating an extended salon/canopied deck for al fresco dining.

 

Dining room

The separate formal dining room features a stunning trompe l'oeil wall mural with table settings of Cristofle flatware and Villeroy & Bosch china.

 

 

 

On Deck:

One of the most relaxing places onboard this luxurious barge is a sun deck, which is located on the upper deck.

Guests can enjoy inviting sparkling heated swimming pool while cruising slowly through the beautiful historical canals and the little villages or just relax in cozy furniture.

The heated swimming pool is 13'X 13', ranging in depth from 3 feet to 6.5 feet.

 

Off Boat:

Air-conditioned 8 seater (plus driver) Mercedes mini-bus is provided for transfers and during shore excursions. Of course, guests are welcome to use bicycles which are carried on board.

 

   

Amaryllis cruises some of the most picturesque waterways in France , including the River Saône and the River Rhône and the Canal due Centre.

Throughout the Burgundy region excursions are arranged to visit ancient chateaux and sample many of the famous wines of the region: Beaune, Dijon , St Jean de Losne, Chalon-sur-Saône and Dole are just some of the towns and villages visited.

  • Tour the Mâcon in the Beaujolais wine region.
  • Experience the restored Abbey of St. Philibért in Tournus.

This specially trained crew pampers you from the time you arrive. Your personal guide introduces you to the district's most renowned vineyards, architectural landmarks, regional activities and local traditions.

Wining and dining is a highlight of any cruise and the five-course candlelit dinners are a special treat. The table d'hôte menus on board the Amaryllis are of the very highest quality and include many regional specialties and fine wine.  

Each week's menu includes some of the chefs original recipes as well as regional specialties and seasonal delicacies unique to the particular are of the country in which you are cruising.
