Indulge yourself with wonderful experience traveling aboard of Golden Odyssey….
“…our expectations were exceeded in every respect. I’ve never experienced better dining, nor better service and keen attention to our every need…the best evidence of our satisfaction level, I suppose, is that we intend to return next year…”
For past countless centuries an infinite variety of working and pleasure vessels have plied the thousands of miles of Western Europe's' rivers and canals ... Today one will find that there is a special ship; a ship that is at once similar to, and yet wholly unique from its kin - that special ship is the 118 foot barge-yacht, Golden Odyssey. ... Built in 1926 by highly respected North Holland shipbuilders, the Golden Odyssey began life as the "Drie Gezusters" (Three Sisters) carrying freight on the waterways of Europe and Scandinavia.
Her current owner and master discovered her
in Leerdam, and was so impressed by her lines
and solid construction, there followed a meticu-
lous transformation into a barge yacht that meets
today's highest requirements for comfort and
absolute dependability.
The Golden Odyssey, built to the highest International Yacht Standards, stands apart from the more than sixty hotel barges plying the waterways of Europe (mostly in France).
This is reflected in her being the only one accepted for representation by the major yacht charterhouses, and featured in their catalogues worldwide. Created in the style of a classic yacht, Golden Odyssey brings, for the first time, the privacy, luxury, and security of private yachting to the inland waterways of Europe. She is for those who know the difference and prefer the best.
The quality of her appointments, level of service, cuisine, and amenities speak for themselves, and place her apart. The Golden Odyssey turns heads wherever she goes as she voyages the continent, offering her clients a moveable feast of Europe. One publication called her “The Orient Express of the European Waterways.”
